Music Video: Break by Tricot

Music Video: Break by Tricot

This is a promotional video by the quirky math-rock band Tricot  for their 3rd single titled “Break“. It features different people tearing up random words that they literally want to tear up.

The band consists of 3 female founding members. There’s Ikkyu Nakajima (vocals / guitar), Motoko “Motifour” Kida (guitar / backing vocals), and Hiromi “Hirohiro” Sagane (bass / backing vocals). Right after the current male drummer Kazutaka Komaki joined in May 2011, they established their own label, BAKURETSU RECORDS.
The band has developed a very unique world with perfectly mixed elements of pure, fragile but strong vocals and unpredictable song transition. The band’s experimental music primarily consists of melodic post-rock-inspired sounds. The complex rhythm reminiscent of math rock.

I can’t believe my B&W clip got in a Japanese music video(3:33)! Guess what my word was. Check out their official site for more info about the band and their mesmerizing music at tricot.tv and see more of their music videos here
